Community Eye Care - WE ARE OPEN

Community Eye Care is open to see patients with new safeguards and strategies in place to limit unnecessary exposure risk to our staff and patients.

Physical changes include plexiglass at the front check in/out area, spatially separated seating in the waiting room, and 'sneeze' guards on all slit lamps in the examination rooms. All staff will be required to wear masks and we are asking all patients to come to their visit with a mask as well. The doctors and technicians will be gloved whenever direct patient contact is involved.

After initial testing, we are keeping the patient in the same exam room for their entire visit. All surfaces are cleaned and disinfected per CDC guidelines between each patient. Any eyeglass frame touched by a patient is separated and sterilized before returning to frame boards.

Our hours have been slightly reduced during this time, but we hope to expand back to normal in the very near future. The most up to date hours can be found on our website at

We look forward to seeing more of the community as the restrictions get lifted.
